John Beard Tools & Ironmongery was established in 1977 by John Beard and his wife Beryl. We are a traditional family run retail shop based in Kidderminster. Since 1977, our Hardware and DIY Store has been providing builders, contractors, repairmen, and private homeowners with quality products and expert services.

As well as your traditional Tools & Ironmongery we also carry a wide range of home essentials.

We pride ourselves on advising customers on the tools required for any particular job and if we can't help in store we probably know somebody or company that can.

We also specialise in Key Cutting, Trophies, Medals, Pet Tags and Engraving.

John Beard Tools & Ironmongery was established in 1977 by John Beard and his wife Beryl. John's career always evolved around Tools & Ironmongery. His first employment was with a local hardware store which is where he gained a vast knowledge. He then was fortunate to venture out as a Sales Representative with larger tool suppliers. In fact he was then supplying both large and local businesses, but his yearning was to always run a local Tool and Hardware Store and in 1977 with great support from Beryl they rented a premises in Kidderminster and John Beard Tools & Ironmongery was born. At this time they were bringing up three children all who were of school age. Obviously being a new retail shop they had to build the business up. As John was still working as a Sales Rep it was Beryl's role to open the shop after the children had gone to school. Once John had finished his Reps job he would return to the shop late on to shut for the day. After 7 years of trading and hard long hours they had saved enough money to obtain a commercial mortgage and purchased the premises (pictured) which is where the business remains to this day.
